Kerry boasts considerable experience in paying party, receiving party and costs audit work gained whilst working within the costs departments of two law firms since 2005. Upon qualifying as a costs lawyer, Kerry joined Williams Associates in March 2011 and manages a substantial and varied caseload involving both paying and receiving party work. Away from work, Kerry is a keen musician and enjoys going to the gym and spending time with friends and family.
Richard worked for three major law firms prior to joining Williams Associates in the spring of 2005. Richard too is a costs lawyer and has over 15 years’ experience in the legal costs profession. Richard has considerable experience of both claimant and defendant perspectives and is one of the firm’s advocates, regularly appearing in court in all four corners of the jurisdiction.
To reflect his achievements and experience, commitment and ability, Richard was made an Associate at Williams Associates in 2013. When not at his desk or in court, Richard is a self-confessed fitness fanatic with a passion for the martial arts; he has recently retired from competing internationally but is now assistant coach and team manager for the Welsh National Tae Kwon Do team.
Jon is the director and senior costs lawyer at Williams Associates having practised costs law for some 25 years and established the firm in 2000. He accepts instructions from both sides of the litigation fence: his caseload consists of paying party work for insurers, loss adjustors and others as well as receiving party work on behalf of solicitors and local authorities (particularly clinical negligence claims, commercial litigation and planning / compulsory purchase matters), ranging from low-value/high-volume work to (mainly) more substantial and technical matters involving millions of pounds.
Jon is highly regarded for his technical knowledge and advocacy skills and is frequently approached even by competitors for advice and guidance. When he has any spare time, Jon enjoys watching any sport, playing his guitars and good food/wine.
